“My daughters have been using Tutor Led Learning for a while now. They absolutely love their lessons with them. They have found a love for science with Tutor Andy – they really click with his way of teaching and they are always looking forward to his lessons. They have come on leaps and bounds in their English since starting with Tutor Dave, in both their confidence and abilities. I would highly recommend them; so glad we found them.”

“I cannot recommend TLL sessions enough both Tutor Andy & Tutor Dave are amazing they are such genuine & enthusiastic teachers. My son who was not enjoying school & is currently being home schooled loves their lessons & he voluntarily logs in early to lessons to have a chat first! The joy. Their lessons are totally engaging & the children always get time to make comments, ask questions & really participate. I consider myself truly lucky to have found them.”

Discovery Packs

Independent and online. Learning journeys with tutor led guidance.

One-to-one tuition

One-to-one (1:1) tuition is the best way we can assist individual students with highly personalised learning support. Our approach is rooted in the need to build genuine student rapport, identify ways to motivate the learning process (which varies with each learner), assess strengths and weaknesses and craft a learning programme to help reach desired goals.

After an initial consultation (free of charge) we will agree a way forward looking at frequency of lessons (usually once or twice a week), duration of tutoring support (typically at least six sessions), learning goals, topic areas to cover and at what depth.

Hourly rates vary depending on requirements but are usually around £40-50ph to include planning, homework, marking and feedback. To request a consultation about 1:1 tuition please complete general enquiry form. We aim to respond within one working day.

“…you are actually the only teacher my daughter listens to. She remembers her class timings, looks forward to them, and actually completes homework. She feels really confident and ready for the exams.”

Science practical days

Science Practicals offer a superb opportunity for students to engage all their senses in exploring scientific phenomena. Tutor Andy runs Science Practical sessions for KS3 (11-13 years old) and KS4 (13-16 years old) students at a location near York in the north of England. These full-day or half-day sessions are perfect for students wanting to explore science, improve their understanding of the scientific method, meet other Home Ed teens or prepare for exams.

To request a place on one of the forthcoming Practical Days please complete the Science Practical enquiry form. We aim to respond within one working day.

“My son participated in a dissection workshop held by Tutor Andy who is one of the tutors from Tutor Led Learning. Speaking from the heart (excuse the pun) if you can get your children on any of these courses or lessons then do. It’ll be one of the best investment you make. I have 2 regrets, the first being I personally couldn’t participate & secondly there weren’t any tutors like Andy when I went to school!!.”

“…she’s been doing really well [with her exam preparation], this is in no small part thanks to your assistance. Spending a day going over the experiments really ‘brought it to life’ instead of just being a list of dry things to remember in a book.”

Marking and feedback

High quality marking and feedback from experienced tutors is one of the best ways a student can improve their performance. With considerable experience of preparing a broad range of students for assessment across AQA, Cambridge and Edexcel specifications, you can be confident we know what the examiner is looking for. Good exam technique can easily add a couple of grades to a student’s performance – it’s not always what you know, it’s how you show it!

To request assistance with marking and feedback for your child please complete the Marking and Feedback enquiry form, we aim to respond within one working day.
