Science
“Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge”
Carl Sagan, Astronomer and science writer
KS3
Key Stage 3 science lessons focus on developing a sense of excitement and curiosity about natural phenomena. Experienced tutors help students develop their scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding. Lessons are arranged in Biology, Chemistry or Physics topics to help organise thinking in preparation for KS4 study.
KS4
Key Stage 4 science lessons are offered as individual Biology, Chemistry or Physics subjects. Topics within these subjects allow students to learn new content or revisit material they are not yet confident in. Importantly, topics are also offered on areas which many students find challenging such as the scientific method, maths in science and improving exam technique.
Explorer
Explorer level (KS3 or KS4) lessons offer simple answers to big questions. Our professional tutors have created bespoke lessons to shape and nurture the natural curiosity which arises from the simplest of questions ‘Why?’. Astronomy, Psychology, Geology, Natural History… what would you like to learn about?
Science
Newton, Curie, Einstein, Hawking… (insert your child’s name here)
As soon as a child first utters the word ‘Why?’ they have begun the process of thinking like a scientist. Our friendly, professional educators will nurture this natural curiosity and encourage independent thinking every step of the way.
Please explore the separate subject pages to find out more about the individual sciences.
Biology
Biology is the study of living things and how they interact
Chemistry
Chemistry is the study of substances, their properties and reactions
Physics
Physics is the study of matter and energy
